DIRECTOR
We are in DIRECTOR'S search for the SIMÓN BOLIVAR UWC.
To direct an educational international centre, located in Barinas Estate Venezuela, which offers a “Hand On” learning 3 year program of a post secondary, career (vocational) orientated level in the areas of Agriculture and Rural Development the following is required:
Head’s Profile
• A University Degree preferable in Agriculture, Administration of Agriculture Business, Agriculture Economy, Agronomy or Agro-business in a recognized university.
• A Master or Doctorate degree preferable in Administration, Management, Rural Development or Education in a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience and at least 5 years with experience in management and human resources management.
• Good domain of Spanish and English Language, both written and conversational.
• Disposition to live in Pedraza Municipality, Barinas Estate in Venezuela and to travel frequently within Venezuela as well as twice or more times a year outside of Venezuela.
• Proactive-ness as well as high capacity and willingness to give.
• Excellent ability for interacting with university youngsters from both sexes and any origin of the world, as well as with an interdisciplinary team with high mystic.
• Preferable with study or work experience out of Venezuela, ideally in an English speaking country.
• Disposition to work with exclusive dedication immediately.
• Capacity to communicate and relate with rural community members and for public relations at different levels, on both governmental and private sectors.
• Demonstrate through personal example and through the course of the professional work experience total identification with the values of United World Colleges and the praxis that derivates from these values.
Position’s Description
Responsible for the Direction, Administration, Supervision and General Control of all the College’s activities and its related matters, at national and international level. To Vigil and lead the loyal obey of the co-living norms which propitiate the United World Colleges values, by the student community, teachers, administrative employees and workers, as well as to watch over the ideal fulfillment of the employees work. To participate in the United World Colleges Head Meetings and the meetings of FUNDACEA’s Executive Council.
